About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform routine healthcare information system and application support
  • Investigate or escalate support issues using analytical skills and experience
  • Resolve incidents and service requests
  • Assist in creating and maintaining training documentation
  • Support and/or lead training sessions using appropriate presentation techniques
  • Research, analyze, and recommend application workflow improvements
  • Create and analyze reports using multiple reporting mechanisms
  • Gather, analyze, design, develop, modify, test, implement, evaluate, and maintain information technologies supporting business needs
  • Work with other departments and outside vendors
  • Participate in a team approach and manage daily changes, tasks, and priorities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Area of focus in Information Technology, Healthcare, Business, or related field preferred
  • One year of relevant experience in application support, hardware or interface preferred
  • Experience working in Epic highly preferred
  • If applicable, Information Technology (IT) certification must be obtained within six months of date of hire and within three attempts of certification testing
  • Proficient verbal and written communication required
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software required
  • Knowledge of multimedia tools, training support documentation creation, software development, or web-based applications preferred
  • Basic knowledge and support of ITIL philosophies helpful when applicable
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws, rules, and regulations when applicable
  • Excellent problem solving, time management, prioritization, interpersonal, customer service, and diplomatic communication skills
