About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to residents
- Collaborate with residents, families, providers, and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care
- Practice within the full scope of nursing expertise and applicable age- and population-specific standards
- Provide preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, resident assessment, education, and other nursing interventions
- Coordinate care and resolve care and service concerns
- Serve as charge nurse when needed
- Delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel
- Provide assistance and support to delegates to ensure safe and reliable resident care
- Practice according to the Nurse Practice Act, administrative rules, and professional nursing standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring, and/or possesses multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications
- Scheduled weekly hours: 36
