About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Join an established Cancer Center & Research Program as a Hematology/Oncology physician
  • Provide a full-range oncology practice including outpatient infusion and inpatient care
  • Admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to adolescent and adult patients with cancer and other benign or malignant tumors
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, physician advisory boards, provider meetings, and other collaborations
  • Support and participate in clinical trials and research opportunities
  • Teach and contribute to training opportunities
  • Conduct approximately 10% outreach
  • Collaborate with APPs and onsite Radiation Oncology, Pathology, and Radiology teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Successful completion of a hospital affiliated Internal Medicine residency program
  • Completion of a Hematology or Oncology fellowship or integrated Hematology and Medical Oncology Program accredited by the ACGME, AOA, or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate ABMS, AOA, or Royal College specialty/subspecialty board, as applicable
  • Applicants not board certified at application who completed fellowship within the last five years must achieve board certification within five years of fellowship completion unless waived
  • BE/BC Hematology/Oncology physician
  • H1B or J1 visas accepted
  • Demonstrated qualifying clinical experience through a fellowship log, hospital quality profile, or clinic activity documentation
  • Applicants not applying directly out of fellowship must demonstrate active involvement with at least 50 patients in inpatient services or clinical practice during the last 12 months
  • Privileging documents and related credentialing requirements may define additional minimum qualifications and scope of practice
