About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to residents
  • Collaborate with residents, families, providers, and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care
  • Practice within the full scope of nursing expertise and applicable age- and population-specific standards
  • Care for residents through preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Coordinate care, conduct resident assessments, provide resident education, and perform nursing interventions
  • Serve as charge nurse when needed
  • Delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel
  • Support delegates to ensure safe resident care and resolve care and service concerns
  • Practice according to the Nurse Practice Act, state administrative rules, nursing standards, and professional ethics

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Travel required to support multiple locations within 75-mile radius of permanent address
  • 3 months experience in Long Term Care required (6 months preferred)
  • Minimum of 30 hours per month
  • One weekend shift per month
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications

  • $15/hour premium on all hours worked
  • $1.25/hour weekend shift differential
  • $1.25/hour evening/night shift differential (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
  • Minimum scheduling requirement of 30 hours per month
  • One weekend shift per month
