About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to residents
- Collaborate with residents, families, providers, and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care
- Practice within the full scope of nursing expertise and applicable age- and population-specific standards
- Provide preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, resident assessment, education, and nursing interventions
- Coordinate resident care
- Serve as charge nurse when needed
- Delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel
- Support delegates to ensure safe and reliable resident care and resolve care and service concerns
- Practice according to the Nurse Practice Act, state administrative rules, professional nursing standards, and the ANA Code of Ethics
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possesses multistate licensure if in an NLC state
- Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications
