About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a staff development coordinator and clinical educator in long-term care settings
- Conduct CNA Program skills labs and clinical experiences
- Perform skills check-offs, including transfers, bathing, and catheter care support
- Identify skills gaps and provide retraining or coaching
- Educate staff on regulatory standards, new equipment or procedures, and regulatory changes
- Assist with audit readiness and survey preparation
- Track and report training completion and compliance metrics
- Assess, plan, coordinate, teach, and evaluate nursing education and training programs
- Collaborate with leaders, clinical staff, and Sanford operations
- Develop education methodologies based on adult learning principles
- Lead bedside nursing education to support evidence-based practice, nursing initiatives, and quality outcomes
- Assist with skills validations and ongoing competencies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program required
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing required
- Minimum of one year of hands-on clinical experience required based on licensure
- Compact (NLC) state
- Maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers within the first 60 days of employment
- Demonstrated involvement in clinical process improvement initiatives or education activities preferred
- Professional nursing certification in specialty area encouraged when eligible
