About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead AR and Credit team training across AR, Credit, Resale, New Accounts, and Cash Applications
- Coordinate new-hire onboarding, paperwork, time-clock setup, attendance policy review, IT setup, and interdepartmental meet-and-greets
- Oversee training on AR and Credit processes, communication, customer service, and role-specific tasks
- Maintain current and accessible Confluence process manuals and training materials
- Partner with QA, AR Specialists, Supervisors, and Project Teams on refresher training and new project rollouts, including Adyen, ECMPro, and HRC
- Improve training tools and explore platforms to unify department-wide training
- Evaluate productivity, time management, department metrics, performance measurement, and forecasting
- Provide weekly direction, assistance, feedback, and goal support to team members
- Prepare and communicate regular performance evaluations and annual reviews
- Collaborate with department leadership to set goals, track metrics, and communicate with stakeholders
- Assist with departmental projects and proactively manage tasks
- Serve as a point of contact across AR, Credit, Resale, New Accounts, and Cash Applications
- Promote customer-focused practices aligned with SanMar Family Values
- Communicate policy updates and ensure consistent implementation
- Perform other assigned duties and comply with policies and standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Some experience in an Accounts Receivable department
- Outstanding customer service skills and understanding of SanMar’s commitment to customer service
- High level of competency with PC and software applications
- Ability to communicate effectively individually and lead a group
- Ability to work as part of a team, self-directed and with minimal supervision
- Strong negotiating and decision-making ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate with diplomacy and empathy and diffuse stressful situations through patience and understanding
- Excellent time management skills
- Positive and professional demeanor and approach
- Ability to work standard hours of 8:00–5:00 PST
- Ability to perform extended computer-based work, including keyboarding and use of standard office equipment
- Ability to occasionally lift or move 10–15 pounds
