About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate activities between pulp procurement and production teams, global sales, and logistics to fulfill customer orders efficiently and on time
  • Develop, optimize, and publish pulp production schedules while meeting customer delivery and quality requirements
  • Adjust schedules for disruptions, communicate impacts, escalate urgent issues, and collaborate with IT/BPE to resolve system problems
  • Validate customer and order information, specifications, quantities, and requested dates against production capabilities
  • Serve as a primary contact for customers, global sales teams, and logistics regarding order status, production schedules, shipping plans, railcar activity, and documentation
  • Maintain weekly sales forecasts and a three-month outlook; prepare and distribute business reports
  • Support global affiliates and Finance with forecasting insights and data
  • Produce month-end inventory and financial close reports; update forecasts with actuals and reconcile inventory variances
  • Lead the weekly Sales & Operations Planning call and consolidate cross-functional updates
  • Maintain Elixir, Proficy, SAP, MICS, EPIC BObj, interfaces, and customer master data; submit DCRs and support system testing
  • Perform assigned Sappi Internal Control (SIN) controls
  • Ensure certification-program compliance, including Forestry Certification claims; participate in audits and serve on SNA’s Certification Compliance Team
  • Participate in training and improvement initiatives
  • Provide occasional after-hours guidance or support when contacted, potentially returning to the mill if remote resolution is not possible

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office, Outlook, SharePoint, Elixir, Manufacturing Execution, Enterprise Resource Planning, and other systems necessary for the role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics, Business Studies or equivalent job-related or professional experience
  • 2 years' experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to build strong relationships across organization boundaries
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial performance metrics
  • Familiarity with logistics contracts and tariffs, international logistics operations, trade compliance, warehousing and inventory management
  • Proven problem-solving capability and experience working cross-functionally to diagnose challenges, remove obstacles, and drive continuous improvement
  • Ability to travel as needed for the job
