About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams with daily plant operations and quality-related activities
- Assist with product evaluations, inspections, testing, and documentation to help ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards
- Participate in quality improvement projects focused on manufacturing processes, product quality, and operational efficiency
- Collect, organize, and analyze quality data to identify trends and support decision-making
- Assist with sanitation, GMP, HACCP, and food safety program verification activities
- Support internal audits, process reviews, and compliance initiatives
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, laboratory, and quality teams to understand plant operations and quality requirements
- Learn and apply regulatory, customer, and Saputo quality standards in a manufacturing environment
- Prepare reports, presentations, and project updates for the Quality team
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent experience
- Interest in food manufacturing, quality assurance, and food safety systems
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Working knowledge of computer programs, including Excel and Word
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and work as part of a team
- Professionalism and ability to positively represent and promote Saputo
- Ability to work scheduled hours and required overtime as needed
- Reliability, honesty, respect, attention to detail, and punctuality
- Effective and efficient communication skills
