About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide clinical training and education for SBL nursing departments
- Develop performance-based learning experiences and training solutions for identified performance issues
- Measure achievement of learning objectives and provide support as needed or requested
- Collaborate with Quality Management, Clinical Director, Clinical Educators, nurses, physicians, and other disciplines
- Develop and coordinate clinical education and competency evaluations for patient care personnel
- Validate staff competency upon hire and annually thereafter
- Establish stability and reduce variance in clinical quality operations and procedures
- Promote and utilize Quality Improvement principles and methods
- Evaluate progress toward goals and outcomes and report data
- Implement care or work plans aligned with safety, infection control, and organizational standards
- Pursue required knowledge and skills through orientation, literature, and learning opportunities
- Develop plans prescribing strategies to attain measurable outcomes
- Establish effective working relationships with peers, physicians, and healthcare team members
- Respond to requests and initiatives to improve or expand clinical services
- Develop, implement, and evaluate departmental policies, procedures, protocols, and standards
- Employ teaching strategies to promote health and a safe environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- BSN (Required)
- RN-Registered Nurse - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (within 90 Days of hire) - Sarah Bush Lincoln
- BLS or CPR certification (within 90 days of hire) - Sarah Bush Lincoln
- Full-Time, 40 hours a week required
