About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build and ship Android features from the roadmap
Work in short cycles with fast feedback from real users
Run quick experiments and A/B tests with the product manager
Integrate new features with the client's core platform and backend services
Work with the QA engineer to write automated tests alongside features
Use AI coding tools and agents throughout the development lifecycle
Help shape an agentic way of working for the team
Share code between platforms where appropriate, preparing for later iOS work
Communicate progress, risks and trade-offs to product and engineering leaders
Build business-user features including tailored app experiences, spending limits, top-ups, alerts, messaging, shared accounts, usage history, reporting, multiple numbers, invoicing, and web-based calling

Requirements

What you’ll need

Senior, hands-on Android engineering experience with Kotlin, shipping production apps to the Play Store
Experience integrating an Android app with a larger backend platform and APIs
Ability to onboard quickly and work flexibly in a small team
Active, regular use of AI coding tools and agents
Clear written and spoken communication in English
Kotlin Multiplatform experience (nice to have)
Experience with calling, VoIP, telephony or payments in a mobile app (nice to have)
Experience with A/B testing and experimentation in a product team (nice to have)
Experience with automated UI and unit testing on Android (nice to have)
