About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, build, and own user-facing features in React and TypeScript — polished, accessible, performant, and production-ready
- Set the technical direction and quality bar for the frontend
- Mentor engineers and contribute through code review
- Use AI and agentic development tools such as Claude and establish best practices for AI-assisted development
- Build and extend backend services and APIs in Go when needed
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to architect and implement new experiences from inception to delivery
- Contribute to product and technical roadmaps and the broader direction of the engineering team
- Craft and maintain user-facing technical documentation that drives product understanding and adoption
- Shape engineering culture and ensure high standards across the organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of proven experience as a software engineer, with deep specialization in frontend development
- Expert-level React and TypeScript, with a strong eye for UX, performance, and accessibility
- Demonstrated fluency with AI and agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude), and a track record of using them to ship efficiently and raise your own throughput
- Leadership experience: setting technical standards, mentoring engineers, and driving key technical decisions
- A track record of shipping high-quality, production-grade frontend at scale
- Working proficiency in Go (or the ability to become productive in it quickly) for backend services — secondary to your frontend work
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to prioritize autonomously against business needs
- Customer-centric approach with strong empathy toward users
- Relevant industry experience in fintech, fraud, compliance, risk, or regulated systems is preferred
- Proficient in English — from casual chats to formal reports
- Exposure to data tooling or pipelines is a nice-to-have, but not required
- Must reside in the Eastern Time Zone to meet the needs of the team
