About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Apply technical skills to develop and maintain project schedules and monitor project performance
- Interface directly with project management, client management, and site personnel
- Develop detailed integrated schedules for engineering, procurement, and construction scopes for nuclear power generation projects
- Implement project controls tools and methodology
- Develop and support project schedule requirements according to client procedures and best practices
- Perform critical path analysis and provide schedule insights and corrective actions
- Support schedule contingency management and identify and manage project risks with stakeholders
- Provide regular project updates and report deviations from the approved project baseline
- Support month-end closing and phase-gate processes
- Ensure standardized file locations for required schedule documents
- Produce look-ahead, actuals, and schedule quality reports
- Assemble supporting documentation for project team and client requests
- Analyze data and build reports for project monitoring and decision-making
- Interface regularly with project management to monitor schedule performance
- Potentially travel to the client office for project coordination meetings
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proficiency using Primavera P6 scheduling software, including resource loading experience
- Familiarity with the practical application of project controls
- 7 or more years of project experience
- Post-secondary graduate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact and multitask with project team members, clients, and vendors of varying position levels
- Working knowledge of MS Office tools, with advanced use of MS Excel and/or MS Access
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; the company does not sponsor employees for work authorization
- Related engineering internship, co-op, or work experience is valued but not required
- AACE CST or PMI Equivalent is valued but not required
- Working toward AACE CCP, CEP, PSP, PRMP, EVP, or PMI Equivalent is valued but not required
- Equivalent training or designated proficiency testing may substitute for valued professional designations
