About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor and track open purchase orders and material deliveries against production schedules and program milestones
- Identify material shortages, late deliveries, and supply-chain risks and drive timely resolution
- Expedite critical materials by coordinating with suppliers, freight carriers, and internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams on technical requirements, revisions, and BOM changes
- Maintain accurate material-flow updates in ERP/MRP systems
- Support new product introduction, prototype builds, and production ramp-ups through material coordination
- Coordinate with manufacturing and warehouse teams to prioritize incoming materials and manage physical inventory flow
- Ensure compliance with DoD procurement regulations, company policies, ITAR, and DFARS requirements where applicable
- Generate and analyze material status reports for leadership decision-making
- Resolve discrepancies involving receiving, documentation, or supplier performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of experience in materials expediting, supply chain, logistics, or production planning
- Strong understanding of supply chain workflows and manufacturing operations
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or similar
- Excellent communication skills
- Working knowledge of technical drawings and bills of materials (BOMs) preferred
- Experience in defense, aerospace, maritime, robotics, or other high-tech manufacturing industries
- Familiarity with DoD procurement and compliance standards, including ITAR and DFARS
- Forklift certification or experience managing physical inventory
- Experience supporting prototype builds or low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments
- Ability to work onsite full-time, in person
- U.S. Person status required for access to export-controlled information
