About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Source materials and manage suppliers to support production and delivery of autonomous surface vessels for the DoD
Build and maintain supplier relationships while monitoring quality, cost, and delivery performance
Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and diversify the supply base
Negotiate supplier terms, pricing, and contracts
Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking to identify savings opportunities
Monitor inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess inventory
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure continuity of supply
Ensure procurement activities comply with government regulations and industry standards, especially defense-contract requirements
Collaborate with engineering, production, logistics, and other cross-functional teams
Implement process improvements in procurement and supply chain operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
Experience in procurement and supplier management, preferably within the defense or maritime industry
Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with government procurement regulations, such as FAR and DFAR, is a plus
Proficiency in procurement software and tools
For U.S.-based roles, access to export-controlled information requires U.S. Person status: U.S. citizen, legal permanent resident, or certain protected asylee/refugee classes
