About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Receive, organize, store, and issue materials, supplies, equipment, and tools
- Maintain accurate inventory and a safe, organized supply room
- Inspect incoming articles to verify receipt against requisitions or invoices
- Distribute supplies and tools among production workers
- Keep records of materials issued
- Move or transport materials and supplies to other departments
- Maintain inventory for machine parts, printed labels, and supplies
- Assist with monthly and yearly inspections of fire extinguishers
- Ensure the supply room is clean and organized
- Perform other duties assigned or required by management
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED
- One to three months of related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Ability to complete basic written correspondence and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
- Knowledge of basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages, and ratios
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and AS/400
- Ability to identify and resolve routine problems using established procedures
- Must be able to work 2nd shift, 2:30pm–11:00pm, Monday–Friday
- Frequently stand, walk, use hands, reach, and handle materials
- Occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel locally up to 25% of the time
- Ability to work with exposure to moving mechanical parts, elevated areas, fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals
- Moderate noise levels are typical of the work environment
