About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee and be accountable for the architecture of digital back-end services within the Offer & Order domain
Lead solution architecture for strategic commercial transformation initiatives, including AI-enabled Dynamic Pricing optimization and next-generation retailing capabilities
Translate commercial strategy into scalable digital capabilities and solution architecture
Lead the solution architecture roadmap and documentation
Support future Offer generation and transition to native Order management (IATA ONE Order)
Balance and integrate modern technologies with legacy systems
Deliver scalable, resilient, and future-proof solutions
Collaborate with Digital Service Owners, internal teams, external partners, and vendors
Monitor aviation, retailing, and technology trends, including agentic commerce
Provide innovation and actionable insights for SAS’s architectural strategy

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years’ experience in solution architecture, software development or technical ownership within airline commercial ecosystems, e.g. PSS, Shopping, Revenue Management, Distribution/NDC
Solid experience designing, building and evolving complex architectures and integrations
Experience with API design, AI-enabled solutions and data platforms
Structured, analytical mindset with strategic thinking and a strong drive to achieve results
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders
Experience or strong interest in leveraging AI technologies, automation, and data-driven capabilities
Education within Computer Science, IT or Engineering
EU-work permit required
Ability to work onsite at one of the SAS offices in Copenhagen, Denmark or Solna, Sweden
Willingness to undertake regular duty travel
Successful completion of a background check
