About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support R&D Engineering teams in completing deadline-driven, team-based projects
  • Facilitate overall project objectives, goals and project requirements
  • Define project scope and goals with teams and stakeholders
  • Plan, prioritize, implement and adjust delivery schedules, scope, resourcing and quality
  • Maintain project plans, schedules, issue lists, risk registers and status reports
  • Coordinate and communicate activities between team members and stakeholders
  • Keep projects on schedule and manage competing priorities
  • Coordinate risk mitigation and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Manage project scope and expectations
  • Identify and negotiate conflicts or high-risk areas
  • Apply project management methodologies, processes, tools and best practices
  • Identify project dependencies and stakeholder influences
  • Coordinate with organizations sharing responsibility for final product delivery
  • Act as central point of contact across Legal, Marketing and Technical Support
  • Identify resource needs and coordinate technical resources, including domestic and international resources
  • Ensure security policies and processes are followed to support secure software development goals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, preferably in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • 5 years of project management experience in software development
  • Experience with R&D project management
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications
  • Excellent competence in project management fundamentals
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation and organizational abilities
  • Excellent decision-making ability
  • Excellent risk management skills
  • Strong strategic thinking skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Awareness of Agile methodologies and adaptability to team needs
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must not require now or in the future sponsorship for employment visa status
