About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work on a new project focused on leveraging Rust for high-performance distributed data processing
Create new features and improve the robustness, performance and resilience of the existing Rust codebase
Solve complex business problems by designing and implementing robust code and cutting edge optimisation algorithms
Collaborate with internal project owners and customers to design and develop services that meet their needs
Build and manage scalable cloud software solutions with full IaC in a GCP container environment
Work with machine learning, optimisation and AI technologies
Ship working Rust software regularly and help shape AI-centric products

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven commercial experience developing with Rust
Experienced Software Developer
Strong proficiency in low latency data handling and data transformation
Solid understanding of distributed systems, scaling and resilience
Experience building and managing containerised solutions on one of the major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
A self-starter mentality with exceptional problem-solving skills
Familiarity with TDD, BDD, Microservices, Distributed Systems, Event driven systems, Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform
