About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support E&I Project Managers by monitoring construction activities
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers
  • Review specifications and drawings to ensure construction progresses as scheduled and adheres to the contract
  • Interface with the Site Construction Team, Home Office Engineering team, Site Engineering Team, and Field Personnel
  • Resolve design conflict and field interference issues
  • Maintain and publish field sketches for problem resolution
  • Maintain project as-built drawings
  • Develop work packages
  • Support task planning as directed by the Engineering Manager
  • Ensure IFC quantities are developed and reported to Project Controls for entry into the Project Tracking System
  • Ensure compliance with job specifications
  • Interface with Project Vendors to ensure timely receipt and correct delivery of materials
  • Review IFC drawings for cost, schedule, and other impacts
  • Assist in developing Change Orders for scope variance per the Project Contract
  • Perform other duties approved by the Project Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in industrial construction
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationships
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Team-management and leadership skills
  • Documentation management and ability to use project management tools
  • Attention to details even under pressure
  • Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of computer software with experience with MS Word, MS Excel, and other common business software
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
