About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform on-site quality control inspection for the E&I Division on a data center project
- Report administratively to the Project E&I QC Lead or Project Manager and functionally to the Division Quality Manager
- Work with client representatives, project management, construction management, and subcontractors
- Review project documents and drawings for quality procedure and work practice compliance
- Ensure on-site staff are properly certified for assigned work
- Report completion status and quality inspections weekly
- Implement the approved Quality Inspection and Test Plan
- Organize client witnessing of hold points and approval of hold-point documentation
- Oversee third-party inspections and testing and review documentation
- Provide quality oversight of project work
- Maintain quality documentation and compile project document turnover books
- Perform system completion walk-downs and report deficiencies
- Maintain punch lists and report open items weekly
- Report discrepancies or concerns immediately
- Provide quality guidance to field-project groups
- Conduct in-process monitoring of E&I work for compliance with quality standards
- Ensure third-party personnel perform tasks safely and comply with applicable safety, environmental, and health requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 5 years of experience as an E&I project quality inspector
- Valid Driver’s License
- Able to clear drug and background requirements
- Experience in E&I disciplines and working with multi-disciplined teams of onsite personnel
- Proficiency with MS Office applications including Excel and Word
- Experience in oilfield-related plant/facility construction
- Experience in quality control representing construction contractors
- Familiarity with applicable regulatory statutes and codes
- Experience managing project quality records and data
- Experience in E&I inspection activities
- Knowledge and experience working with NEC, NETA, IEEE, VE-2, etc.
- Good written communication and reporting skills with proper use of grammar and spelling
- Preferred: additional spreadsheet and database experience
- Preferred: Electrical License (Master, Journeyman)
- Preferred: MCCER Certification
