About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the lead representative for the company at a data center construction site
- Direct and coordinate the activities of the Electrical group
- Provide management oversight for all phases of the construction project
- Coordinate workers, material, and equipment
- Ensure project specifications are being followed
- Maintain overall accountability for job site safety and quality assurance/quality control procedures
- Look ahead to avoid conflicts in timing between crafts
- Resolve scheduling problems, determine work priorities, and assess project requirements affecting scheduling
- Define and monitor subordinate performance expectations for work output, quality, accidents, and training
- Monitor daily work progress and evaluate and counsel subordinates
- Apply construction terminology and methodology
- Write reports and administer policies
- Keep current procedures, policies, and methods in use
- Respond to emergency situations under time pressure
- Conduct performance appraisals and recommend wage adjustments
- Discipline employees, including termination when warranted, in consultation with Management
- Work in operating facilities while observing additional safety policies and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7-10 years of experience supervising Heavy Industrial Electrical projects involving a variety of layout, installation, and construction and maintenance tasks
- Current Journeyman or Master Electrical License preferred
- Data Center experience required
- Open to travel and possible rotating schedule
- Renewable experience a plus
- Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Possess valid drivers’ license with a good driving record
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to walk the property and laydown yards
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds
