About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the full EPC proposal development process and ensure proposal package accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering, estimating, project controls, and construction teams
- Develop, validate, and approve engineering quantities and estimates
- Analyze quantities and maintain comparison spreadsheets with similar executed projects
- Coordinate proposal execution strategy, schedule, alignment, and deliverables
- Lead weekly Proposal Update Meetings and hold disciplines accountable
- Review RFP documents and provide scope summaries
- Attend client kick-off meetings, pre-bid meetings, and site visits
- Develop and maintain proposal schedules with Project Controls
- Lead discussions on execution strategy, win themes, and project execution philosophy
- Assign and review proposal deliverables, narratives, and written sections
- Maintain the proposal tracker and ensure documentation is current
- Lead estimate/scope handoff meetings after project award
- Establish project budgets with Project Controls at kickoff
- Ensure knowledge transfer from proposal to execution teams
- Improve engineering estimate files, tools, and proposal review cycles
Requirements
What you’ll need- Primary base location in Odessa, TX, Houston, TX, or Abilene, TX
- 5+ years' experience in the oil & gas industry, petroleum refining and natural gas processing
- At least two years as an estimator, project engineer, project manager, or relevant technical discipline
- Strong people and communication skills
- Ability to travel to Corporate Office Locations (Odessa, Houston, Abilene, etc.)
- Computer literacy with thorough knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Thorough understanding of EPC project execution and drawings
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
