About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides direction and management for every phase of a heavy industrial construction project
  • Ensures on-schedule completion within or below budget and in accordance with contractual obligations
  • Plans and defines project goals and devises methods to accomplish them
  • Develops in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies
  • Manages programs or projects of up to $200 million in total cost
  • Plans, directs, supervises, and controls business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions
  • Acts as Company representative with clients and selected suppliers
  • Negotiates changes to the scope of work with clients
  • Assists business development in understanding client issues and business plans
  • Establishes program or project requirements and monitors adherence
  • Promotes technical excellence and adherence to the Quality Improvement Process
  • Develops and oversees Execution Plans, Health and Safety Plans, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plans, and other hazardous waste work documents
  • Mobilizes Company resources and creates project teams
  • Works with construction managers and project engineers to develop budgets, schedules, and plans
  • Develops and executes action plans to address cost overruns, delays, or scope changes
  • Advises clients and Company management of changes
  • Monitors and reports project progress, milestones, risks, costs, and schedules
  • Completes other responsibilities associated with the position as appropriate

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically requires a BS/BA degree in Engineering, Construction or related field, or the equivalent of 8 to 12 years of relevant experience
  • 10 to 12 years of related work experience required
  • Supervisory and hands-on management experience with EPC, Oil and Gas large scale projects required
  • Travel may be required to various offices or project sites
  • Data center experience is a plus but not required
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to walk the property and laydown yards
  • Ability to carry up to 50 pounds
