About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer corrective action, self-assessment, and management field observation programs
  • Administer and maintain the site’s corrective action database for the assigned area
  • Conduct comparative analysis on completed assessments and management field observation reports
  • Review, process, and close assessment reports and submitted observations
  • Identify findings and opportunities for improvement and enter them into the corrective action tracking system
  • Participate in developing the annual self-assessment plan
  • Participate in developing facility performance metrics
  • Generate and/or coordinate monthly or periodic key performance indicators and management reports
  • Prepare reports, presentations, metrics, and other materials for management
  • Assist with or conduct root and/or apparent cause analyses
  • Attend and potentially lead weekly management review team meetings
  • Coach and mentor others on use of the MFO system at the mid-level
  • Lead or facilitate root and/or apparent cause analyses, including consequential events, and ensure corrective actions are completed
  • Oversee functional/operational programs of small to moderate complexity at the mid-level
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; or High School Diploma and relevant experience in a role comparable to the responsibilities of this position
  • Must successfully pass necessary training in root cause analysis within first 90 days
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of customers in all levels of an organization
  • DOE site, commercial nuclear industry or manufacturing facility experience
  • Root Cause Analysis certification/training
  • Experience with Corrective Action Management Systems
  • Proficient with MS Office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Relevant experience may include corrective action, issue management, financial, risk, audit, LEAN, operational analysis, or applied science
