About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical assistance and support for computer systems, software, hardware, and mobile devices
  • Maintain daily performance of computer systems
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software
  • Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems
  • Install computer peripherals and software for users
  • Assist users with audiovisual and conference room technology
  • Assist in resolving technical problems with LAN, WAN, WWAN, telecommunications infrastructure, and other systems
  • Assist the network engineering team with LAN, WAN, WWAN, and telecommunications issues
  • Evaluate new technologies and provide procurement support as needed
  • Assist with special events as needed
  • Provide one-on-one or small-group training on PC-related issues and agency-standard software
  • Create and maintain knowledge-base articles, directions, tips, FAQs, and in-depth solutions
  • Document end-user interactions and recommend improvements
  • Evaluate operational efficiency of IT systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated working knowledge in PC hardware
  • Experience with LAN, WAN, and wireless networking environments
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Active Directory, Intune, and Cayosoft
  • Demonstrated experience with anti-Malware software, web conference platforms, service management platforms, remote support software, and remote telephony software
  • Working knowledge and experience with audio/visual and videoconferencing systems
  • Professional proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Office 365, and Windows Operating Systems
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Knowledge or experience with mobile device platforms such as iOS preferred
  • Knowledge or experience with telephone systems preferred
  • Ability to work in a high-paced, high-stress environment
  • Ability to work across multiple levels of the organization face-to-face and remotely
