About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a portfolio of priority initiatives advancing Mass Market Fundraising & Supporter Engagement strategy, fundraising growth, supporter experience, and operational effectiveness
- Translate priorities into project plans covering scope, outcomes, milestones, resources, dependencies, decision points, and success measures
- Help leadership prioritize initiatives based on value, capacity, cost, timing, dependencies, and risk
- Coordinate cross-functional workstreams, clarify roles and decision rights, and maintain accountability for deliverables
- Provide leadership updates and recommendations, escalating risks, barriers, and decisions requiring action
- Monitor implementation, adoption, and results, recommending adjustments when initiatives are not delivering intended value
- Lead platform migrations, audience-led implementation, fundraising reviews, process improvements, and emerging growth priorities
- Identify and assess opportunities to improve fundraising effectiveness, speed, quality, scalability, and supporter experience
- Lead process reviews, identify root causes, define future states, and establish implementation plans
- Improve ownership, handoffs, duplication, and ways of working with functional teams and Marketing & Growth Operations
- Evaluate and advance technology, automation, and AI opportunities with technology, data, and governance teams
- Develop reusable tools, processes, and approaches that improve consistency and create value across Mass Market Fundraising
- Lead operational aspects of forecasting, budgeting, investment planning, and performance processes
- Coordinate assumptions, inputs, documentation, timelines, and review cycles for transparent, decision-ready forecasts and budgets
- Lead reconciliation and root-cause analysis for discrepancies among forecasts, financial reporting, agency projections, internal reports, and source systems
- Clarify data definitions, ownership, controls, and resolution paths with accountable teams
- Connect investment assumptions, donor trends, channel performance, revenue reporting, and long-term supporter value to leadership decisions
- Prepare analysis, recommendations, briefing materials, and decision support for leadership
- Support emerging priorities and monitor fundraising, technology, analytics, and AI trends
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in project or program management, fundraising or marketing operations, strategy, consulting, business transformation, process improvement, or a related field
- Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from definition through implementation and adoption
- Strong project management, facilitation, change management, and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to influence without direct authority
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience improving business processes, evaluating technology or automation opportunities, investigating data discrepancies, and translating insights into action
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, or investment-planning processes
- Ability to connect strategic objectives to practical workplans, measurable outcomes, and clear executive communications
- Experience leveraging technology, automation, analytics, or AI-enabled tools to improve operational effectiveness, decision-making, or business outcomes
- Professional proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
- Project management, change management, Lean/Six Sigma, or related certification or demonstrated equivalent experience preferred
- Experience in nonprofit fundraising, direct response, supporter engagement, performance marketing, customer experience, or revenue-generating environments preferred
- Experience with digital platform implementation, product implementation, vendor transition, CRM, marketing technology, or analytics initiatives preferred
- Experience identifying and implementing workflow automation or responsible AI-enabled process improvements preferred
- Experience working with Finance, agency partners, and technology teams in a complex, matrixed organization preferred
