About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee preparation and analysis of financial statements in compliance with IFRS rules and local-site SLA requirements.
Perform, coordinate, and oversee Month End Close activities with other departments.
Perform manual journal entries and IFRS adjustments in line with company policies.
Prepare and timely submit month-end group reporting packages, including disclosure schedules.
Coordinate and support general ledger accounting, restructuring, intercompany accounting, payroll, tax agenda including VAT and CIT compliance, and balance sheet account reconciliations.
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align activities with organizational goals.
Coordinate group, statutory, and internal audit activities for entities in scope.
Manage team performance by setting objectives, providing feedback, and supporting professional development and potential growth.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Utilize SAP ERP and financial software tools.
Participate actively in internal and external projects.

Requirements

What you’ll need

A strong background in accounting, finance and taxes from SSC environment.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, with a focus on IFRS reporting framework.
Solid knowledge of Czech or Slovak statutory accounting standards.
Proven leadership experience in managing teams and driving performance.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and self-organized personality.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel.
Ability to proactively drive process improvements and interact with customers.
Good command of English and Czech or Slovak.
Strategic thinking and ability to align team activities with business objectives and priorities.
Adaptability to changing business environments and priorities.
Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude.
Ability to work in a complex, fast-paced, and time-pressure environment.
