About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Architect, build, and support applications, integrations, and automations within Sage X3 and standalone hybrid web apps
Partner with business users across manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and commercial operations to understand workflows and recommend improvements
Gather requirements and map current- and future-state business process workflows
Design, develop, test, and maintain hybrid web applications and internal tools
Configure, customize, and support Sage X3 screens, reports, workflows, and data integrations
Build and maintain REST/JSON and SOAP/XML integrations and APIs
Develop and support Doclink, BarTender, Crystal Reports, Salesforce, and related business applications
Design and maintain relational data models, SQL queries, and reports
Manage source control and CI/CD pipelines; deploy and support applications in Linux/container environments
Follow SDLC, change control, documentation, CSV, and data integrity practices for GxP-relevant systems
Provide production support by triaging, troubleshooting, and resolving tickets and enhancement requests
Identify and measure opportunities for automation, analytics, and responsible AI use
Create technical and end-user documentation and train users on new tools and processes
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of hands-on full stack software development experience, preferably within a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or other regulated environment
Proficiency in Java (Spring / Spring Boot), JavaScript (ES6+; jQuery for legacy apps), HTML5, and CSS3
Strong SQL and relational database skills (MySQL or similar), including data modeling and query tuning
Experience building and consuming REST/JSON and SOAP/XML APIs
Working knowledge of Git, Jenkins/Maven CI/CD pipelines, Docker, basic Linux CLI administration, and Nginx
Experience working with ERP/MRP software, preferably Sage X3 or similar
Experience with Agile development practices and ticket/story-card tools such as JIRA
Ability to work directly with business users, translate business needs into technical requirements, and deliver solutions end-to-end
Sage X3 development experience, including 4GL scripting, customization, and web services
Knowledge or familiarity with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5, CSV, and ALCOA+ data integrity principles
Experience with modern front-end frameworks and TypeScript
Experience with Java or Node.js for scripting, automation, and integrations
Experience with LLM and Generative AI tools, including AI-assisted coding
Familiarity with EDI and X12 transactions
Experience with Salesforce development, BarTender, Doclink, or Crystal Reports
Familiarity with automated testing, OWASP, and access management practices
Project management proficiency, including scoping, planning, requirements gathering, process mapping, and end-to-end process management
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
