About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage ongoing accounting for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounts
Review, code, and post incoming and outgoing invoices
Process bank and cash transactions and perform account reconciliations
Prepare monthly and annual financial statements
Prepare documentation for the tax advisor
Process travel expense and expense reimbursement reports
Maintain and further develop internal accounting processes
Optional: Prepare and process monthly payroll
Optional: Maintain employee master data
Optional: Communicate with health insurance providers, authorities, and the tax advisor
Optional: Support payroll-related personnel inquiries

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed commercial training, further education in accounting, or a comparable qualification
Several years of experience in financial accounting
Proficiency in DATEV (financial accounting, Mittelstand Faktura)
Structured, independent, and reliable approach to work
Discretion and a strong sense of responsibility when handling sensitive data
Good written and spoken German
Nice to have: Experience in payroll accounting
Nice to have: Experience with digital, paperless accounting processes
Nice to have: Experience in start-ups, SMEs, or fast-growing companies
