About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage all aspects of a predefined product line within the Strategic Business Unit, including roadmap, technical, marketing, and support activities
  • Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for new and existing products
  • Manage customer requirements and needs
  • Act as the communication link between sales, support, and engineering
  • Define priorities among sales, support, and engineering with reference to product development
  • Align with the brand management division roadmap and vision
  • Manage beta product trials, proof-of-concepts, and trials
  • Manage customer feedback strategies to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Manage marketing intelligence strategies for the applicable product line
  • Manage product positioning strategies and define product specifications for the target market
  • Manage product pricing strategies and monitor product cost achievability
  • Manage product launch and promotional marketing strategies
  • Manage the team of product specialists to fulfil these responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Internal candidates: six to eight years’ experience on related BU product lines, evaluated at a technical competency level, with all internal training completed and experience in a managing position within Schauenburg
  • External candidates: preferably a business management degree or diploma or equivalent with technical expertise
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
  • Preferably four to six years’ experience as a Product Manager; business analyst experience will also suffice
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Ability to travel 40% of the time (2 days per week)
  • Examples and at least one sample of an effective document delivered in the past
  • Excellent English grammar, both speaking and writing

  • Business expertise in cost versus selling price and product profitability
