About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide incredible customer service by engaging customers in conversation using effective communication skills such as direct eye contact and a smile to build a rapport based on trust and satisfaction
Assist customers with product selections, creative themes and designs and suggestive selling
Operate microwave, bread slicer, ovens and proof boxes
Decorate cakes with roses, decorative borders, flowers and balloons
Prepare breads, cakes, donuts and other pastries, including icings and frostings according to established recipes
Package fresh-baked products
Constantly clean work area and equipment following company safety and sanitation procedures
Perform other duties assigned at the discretion of store management

Requirements

What you’ll need

18yrs+ to apply
Minimum 1 year experience cake decorating preferred
Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred
Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred
Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance
