About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Leverage prior in-market, launch, and pipeline experience to support the commercial team in building and executing a robust Global market insights and analytics plan
  • Lead compliant primary market research initiatives to generate insights for global commercial and brand strategies
  • Manage external competitive intelligence vendors and oversee market landscapes, global congress monitoring, and clinical-stage intelligence
  • Identify competitive threats, opportunities, and emerging market dynamics
  • Partner with commercial stakeholders on annual brand planning deliverables, including Situational Assessment, Global Market Outlook, and Market Map
  • Build relationships with affiliate and cross-functional experts
  • Define problems, design research, and synthesize insights to support commercial decision-making
  • Communicate insights clearly and crisply to stakeholders
  • Synthesize insights into frameworks supporting alignment on launch optimization strategies
  • Serve as an organizational and strategic thought partner for data-driven, evidence-based decision-making
  • Generate competitive intelligence and market insights for a newly launched neuromuscular treatment and potential new indications

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of experience in market insights and analytics, market research or competitive intelligence supporting the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries
  • Project management expertise with ability to manage concurrent projects, meet critical deadlines, and deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget
  • Expertise in primary and secondary research methodologies, including study design, data collection, analysis, and interpretation
  • US and Global Market Research experience preferred
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with ability to translate market research and competitive intelligence into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Proven ability to identify, select, and manage external research vendors while building strong, collaborative partnerships
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving organizational needs and reprioritize work in a dynamic environment
  • Strong work ethic and high standards of professionalism and integrity
  • Experience generating market insights to inform successful product launches; rare disease experience preferred
  • BS / BA in business, management or science required
  • Graduate degree (MBA) and/or equivalent experience and education in strategic leadership and business preferred
  • Travel required for onsite competitive intelligence congress coverage and ad-hoc corporate meetings
