About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Report to the Senior Vice President of Partner Care primarily and the President secondarily
- Initiate conversations with leadership of rescue missions and other Christian ministries serving the poor to set up initial meetings
- Develop relationships with interested rescue missions and ministries until they send students or decline interest
- Foster existing partnerships through regular meetings to increase student referrals to City Vision
- Work with CVU academic leadership to develop creative solutions addressing partners', staff, and students' educational and training needs
- Attend conferences, workshops, and events to arrange meetings during and after events
- Attend regular staff and supervision meetings, including an annual in-person staff gathering
- Participate in and lead staff chapel and prayer on Zoom
- Assist in other areas as needed by mutual agreement
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least an accredited Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of experience working at a Gospel Rescue Mission
- Previous work experience with Gospel Rescue Missions; experience within the Gospel Rescue Mission movement is required
- Strong experience and core competencies in nonprofit executive leadership, development/fundraising, business development, and/or sales
- Demonstrated commitment to the Christian mission, vision, and values focused on serving those who are poor and addicted
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills
- Very strong technical expertise, including extensive experience or training with Customer Relationship Management Database, Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, Excel Spreadsheets, and Windows
- Comfortable initiating cold outreach and following up persistently and professionally
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident alien with valid work authorization
- Must fulfill the ministerial role's religious functions, including supporting spiritual needs and leading corporate worship and prayer
- Reliable internet and fluency in digital workflows including Zoom, Google Workspace, SIS, and CRM
- Ability to provide a private, quiet workspace free of distractions for FERPA compliance
- Ability to remain stationary 75–90% of the time and perform repetitive hand/finger motions
- Ability to communicate complex instructions via video conferencing and phone
- Ability to self-manage time and focus without direct supervision
- Spiritual maturity and cognitive focus to align with Christian values and lead prayer and chapel
- High emotional intelligence, resilience, empathy, and professional composure when navigating partner dynamics and at-risk populations
