About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Receive and store Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), kits, and other inventory property
  • Accurately enter property into the database; perform material transfers and releases according to company processes
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts and verify item storage, location, quantity, and related details
  • Control and maintain accuracy of materials and records using manual and electronic inventory control systems
  • Transfer, store, stack, or palletize materials according to prescribed storage methods
  • Issue materials from reservations or other relevant documentation
  • Examine stored materials and report deterioration and damage
  • Issue, inventory, account for, and dispose of expired Hazmat material according to company procedure
  • Operate pallet jacks and/or forklift
  • Complete documents correctly and obtain required signatures
  • Maintain Costpoint retrieval records, including description, quantity, cost, serial lot number, and availability
  • Maintain inventory control over parts, including on-hand accuracy, locations, abbreviations, shelf life, and lot identification
  • Maintain inventory receipts, stocking, issues, returns to stock, and location transfers by filing in designated locations
  • Perform other duties as needed to meet organizational needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Beginner to intermediate computer skills; Costpoint experience highly preferred
  • Ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs
  • Ability to accurately enter data
  • High degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently and multi-task
  • Ability to read, interpret and follow safety rules, procedure manuals and processes
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff
  • Ability to use general office equipment such as copier, scanner, and printers
  • Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate issues to management
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
  • Analytical skills with ability to evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areas
  • Previous experience conducting physical inventory counts preferred
  • Ability to handle Hazmat products as it relates to aviation maintenance
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years’ experience in inventory / warehouse is required
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Experience in aviation maintenance area highly desired
  • Any combination of education/experience may be substituted for job requirements at the recommendation of the hiring manager and approval of the COO or higher
