About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based statistical solutions for clients
  • Conduct indirect treatment comparison feasibility assessments and prepare statistical analysis plans
  • Perform meta-analyses, network meta-analyses, and population-adjusted indirect comparisons
  • Analyse patient-level data, including post-hoc analyses of clinical trial and observational data
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of statistical models
  • Participate in client meetings and provide updates on methods, progress, and results
  • Prepare and present reports to clients, including publications for conferences and peer-reviewed journals
  • Liaise with clients within projects with support from a project lead
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, systematic review analysts, and health economics teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A post-graduate degree in medical statistics, statistics or similar
  • Experienced in using statistical software packages and willingness to learn other languages to suit client needs (e.g., R, Stata)
  • Experience working with patient-level data or large individual-level data sets
  • Ability to implement survival analysis, generalised linear models, and multilevel models
  • Ability to draw inference between parameters and clinical endpoints
  • At least 2 years’ experience undertaking statistical analyses within a consultancy, academia, the NHS, or a pharmaceuticals or devices company
  • Familiarity with analysing real-world datasets used within the UK (e.g., HES, CPRD)
  • Client-facing capability and collaborative working with project managers, systematic review analysts, and health economics teams
