About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify, capture, and maintain program opportunity pipelines and roadmaps within assigned Strategic Campaigns
- Lead assigned opportunities through a gated milestone process toward proposal development or a no-bid decision
- Lead proposal efforts as Proposal Manager
- Manage development of proposal solution content, including win themes, features/benefits, proof points, and graphics, with technical teams and teammates
- Manage proposal compliance content with Contracts, Finance, IT, Security, and other Business Operations organizations
- Develop and track proposal schedules and manage proposal budget baselines
- Support other proposal efforts to ensure timely delivery of required content
- Develop teaming strategies, teaming agreements, and subcontract RFPs
- Develop marketing materials and articulate SciTec’s capabilities and solutions to customers and industry partners
- Brief corporate and portfolio leadership on new business pipeline and initiative progress
- Support pre-award activities, including customer questions, BAFO, and teammate engagement
- Support just-awarded program standup activities, including kickoff meetings, staff hiring, team orientation, and collaborative IT environments
- Travel periodically to meet customers and industry teammates and represent SciTec at tradeshows and conferences
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or computer science
- Active DoD SECRET clearance or higher
- U.S. Government or aerospace industry experience in technical program management roles of 20+ years
- Industry experience of 15+ years leading the development of capture plans and technical proposals in support of Department of Defense or Intelligence Community
- Experience leading proposal development efforts, including proposal development process and conducting meetings/reviews
- Experience leading and winning individual technical proposal efforts in excess of $50M
- Strong verbal and written skills to articulate and refine technical and managerial solutions aligned with customers’ needs
- Ability to interact and develop positive relationships with customers, teammates, and company senior leadership
- Strong team building, time-management, and conflict-resolution abilities
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Preferred: experience working with the Intelligence Community, U.S. Space Force (USSF), Missile Defense Agency (MDA), U.S. Air Force (USAF), or Space Development Agency (SDA)
- Preferred: domain expertise in national security space systems, BMC2, integrated air and missile defense, or ISR
- Preferred: experience leading technical teams to develop new capabilities and solutions for US Government customers
- Preferred: track record of business development success with US Government customers in the national security space arena
- U.S. citizenship required
- Active security clearance requirement; U.S. citizenship required to obtain and maintain clearance
- Must be able to work on U.S. government contracts; visa sponsorship is not available
