About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, commissioning, and general servicing of systems
  • Troubleshoot systems in detail
  • Test HVAC systems before and after installation
  • Install controls and complete and close necessary work orders
  • Communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site
  • Promote approved add-on work
  • Manage assigned work to meet professional execution, time, and customer satisfaction standards
  • Report problems or changes to management immediately
  • Interface with the local manager and supervisors
  • Adhere to corporate and customer safety standards
  • Provide training to customers on electronic control system operations when needed
  • Issue customer handouts and help customers complete customer agreement forms
  • Conduct self-study to improve and maintain technical proficiency in company product lines
  • Complete certifications as required by the company

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years' experience in HVAC controls installation, repair and maintenance
  • HVAC experience and some electrical knowledge
  • Knowledge of residential and commercial HVAC equipment
  • Basic knowledge of web-based programs, Excel, Word, and Microsoft email
  • Must pass criminal background, MVR check, and drug screen
  • Must have and maintain a clean DMV record and safe driving record
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb rooftops
  • Ability to work in remote areas with or without direct supervision
  • Customer service orientation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
