About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer the grant offer process for Programme Grants (FESS, EMA)
  • Input into annual guidance published
  • Ensure payment information is up to date and correct
  • Make payments on Oracle
  • Collate returns from institutions on programme spending and initially analyse the information
  • Input into annual processes for programme spending, including In Year Redistribution
  • Collate audit returns
  • Undertake finance adjustments at month and year ends
  • Monitor mailboxes for queries
  • Work flexibly across the team and shift direction quickly to meet changing priorities and demands
  • Work closely with Policy, HR, Communications and Scottish Government colleagues
  • Support delivery of Further Education Student Support (FESS)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience reviewing information from a range of data or information sources to draw out key findings and recommendations
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience engaging with colleagues or stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage own workload and competing deadlines
