About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead product delivery across the full product lifecycle
  • Identify effective delivery approaches, evaluate outcomes, and align work with priorities, scope, and business objectives
  • Develop and maintain product strategies and business cases based on user needs
  • Ensure benefits are realised and measurable outcomes link to organisational priorities
  • Apply design, technology, and data principles to deliver user-centred solutions and assisted digital approaches
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and Government Digital and Data colleagues to design, develop, integrate, launch, and improve products and services
  • Establish, redesign, and embed operational processes throughout the product lifecycle
  • Navigate competing stakeholder priorities, risks, constraints, and complex delivery considerations
  • Make decisions on priorities, delivery approaches, and lifecycle progression
  • Champion user-centred design and evidence-based product decisions
  • Analyse and communicate complex problems and develop solutions
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders, secure engagement and buy-in, and provide recommendations
  • Support Agile delivery practices, prioritisation, dependency management, minimum viable products, and iterative improvement
  • Lead delivery and continuous improvement of products supporting Fraud and Error initiatives, including the Monetary Value of Fraud and Error system
  • Potentially contribute to programme management and participate in hiring associates, product managers, and contractors

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience in Agile and Lean delivery practices, selecting and adapting effective approaches, evaluating outcomes, and delivering in complex or constrained environments
  • Product and service delivery experience, including integrating products with other services and managing delivery across the project lifecycle
  • Experience engaging and collaborating with stakeholders at all stages
  • Changing and Improving — Level 3
  • Communicating and Influencing — Level 3
  • Senior Product Management skills aligned to the Government Digital and Data Profession Capability Framework
  • CV and supporting statement of no more than 750 words
  • Successful candidates must complete BPSS checks
  • Successful candidate must clear additional National Security Vetting clearance (Security Check)
  • Right to work in the UK, subject to applicable immigration requirements
