About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support generator interconnection process schedules, milestones, and study-deposit due dates
  • Support submission of interconnection requests and ensure technical and non-technical requirements are met
  • Track project budgets, timelines, and documentation with development and finance teams
  • Review and administer executed contracts, interact with counterparties, and review invoices through the AP system
  • Support commercial negotiations and develop tools to disseminate interconnection costs and assumptions
  • Interface with transmission owners, transmission providers, and other entities
  • Learn electrical designs for collection systems, project substations, and generation radial lines
  • Support review of interconnection, system impact, facilities, and SSR studies
  • Provide information to the Development team, monitor timelines, and coordinate adherence
  • Assist the New Projects team in identifying viable POIs and manage injection studies with consultants
  • Coordinate data and documentation during project handoffs
  • Analyze information and solicit input from other teams to inform group strategy
  • Deliver annual goals and embody Scout's mission and values

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline from an accredited college program
  • Previous internship or co-op experience in generation interconnection or transmission planning is preferred
  • Experience running power flow analysis is preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and meet deadlines
  • Excitement and enthusiasm for learning how to become a Project Developer
  • Proficiency with Google Earth, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Willing and available to travel as needed (10%-15%)
