About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support contracting and procurement of construction services for utility-scale wind, solar, and battery energy storage projects
  • Assist with development, negotiation, execution, and administration of construction and supply agreements
  • Prepare, review, revise, and administer construction and equipment contracts, exhibits, amendments, and related commercial documents
  • Coordinate internal reviews with Legal, Engineering, Construction, Development, Finance, and other stakeholders
  • Track contract comments and action items throughout negotiations
  • Maintain contract records, execution packages, and contract management tools
  • Support post-award contract administration and issue tracking
  • Support RFP and contracting activities for BOP, BOS, EPC, and other renewable energy construction contracts
  • Develop negotiation materials and commercial analyses for vendor discussions
  • Participate in commercial negotiations alongside senior team members
  • Evaluate vendor proposals, commercial positions, and contractual risk allocations
  • Support recommendations regarding pricing, commercial terms, and contractual risk
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors and suppliers
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders and external counterparties
  • Support project teams in understanding contractual obligations and requirements
  • Assist with lessons learned exercises and incorporate learnings into future contracts
  • Maintain contractor and supplier databases
  • Monitor renewable energy market trends, contractor activity, and commercial developments
  • Develop tools, templates, and processes to improve contracting efficiency and consistency
  • Contribute to Procurement team continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage multiple contracting workstreams, identify risks, escalate issues, and balance commercial objectives with contractual protections and project execution needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Legal Studies, or a related field
  • 1-4 years of experience in procurement, contract management, construction services, project development, commercial operations, legal support, or related functions
  • Basic understanding of commercial contracts and contract negotiation principles
  • Experience supporting cross-functional projects preferred
  • Renewable energy, construction, infrastructure, engineering, or EPC experience is a plus
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Experience reviewing commercial agreements and contract documents preferred
  • Familiarity with ERP, contract management, or procurement systems is a plus
  • Candidate preferably able to work out of the Boulder office on the current hybrid (3-2) schedule
  • Ability to start by November 2026
