About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Directly sell FiberTite Roofing products in the Los Angeles territory
  • Proactively prospect for new opportunities, projects, and customers
  • Conduct sales presentations for corporate owners, developers, roofing consultants, contractors, architects, and suppliers
  • Maintain key relationships, negotiate, and close deals
  • Provide roofing solutions using technical knowledge and understanding of codes and approvals
  • Work with the North American Sales Director and Regional Sales Manager to review market conditions and determine customer needs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to quote pricing and other critical information
  • Partner with Technical Representative Department resources to plan and coordinate job requirements and communicate with technical representatives and customers
  • Develop reliable and timely sales forecasts
  • Represent the company at trade association meetings
  • Analyze and control territory expenditures to meet budget requirements
  • Research and share market intelligence on new products and product modifications with the Innovation and Technology team
  • Use Seaman 360™ to track prospects, contacts, forecasts, quotations, and opportunities
  • Assist with the annual customer service survey and use feedback to improve results
  • Report to the Regional Sales Manager – West

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Registered Roof Observer, Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related degree with 3–5 years related experience in the roofing industry or related building products industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Technical roofing knowledge
  • Understanding of roofing codes and approvals
  • Ability to prospect for new opportunities, projects, and customers
  • Ability to conduct influential sales presentations
  • Ability to maintain key relationships, negotiate, and close deals
  • Ability to quote pricing and critical customer information
  • Ability to develop reliable and timely sales forecasts
  • Ability to analyze and control territory expenditures within budget
  • Ability to research, analyze, and share market intelligence
  • Ability to use Seaman 360™ to track prospects, contacts, forecasts, quotations, and opportunities
  • Extroverted personality
  • Willingness to travel 40%
