About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide consultant-level psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for children and adolescents
  • Assess and manage a wide range of psychiatric and behavioural conditions
  • Evaluate developmental, emotional, behavioural, and social concerns affecting children and adolescents
  • Develop individualised treatment plans based on clinical assessment and patient needs
  • Provide pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, schools, psychologists, therapists, paediatricians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage patients with complex mental health needs
  • Provide counselling and psychoeducation to patients and families
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in accordance with healthcare and regulatory standards
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical governance, quality improvement, and teaching activities
  • Support early identification and intervention for children and adolescents with mental health and developmental concerns

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Medical degree from a recognised medical institution
  • Recognised postgraduate qualification in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry / Psychiatry or an equivalent specialty qualification
  • Consultant-level experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Experience managing children and adolescents with a broad range of psychiatric and behavioural conditions
  • Western qualifications or internationally recognised board certification preferred
  • Eligibility for DOH (Abu Dhabi) licensing/registration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Strong commitment to patient-centred care and clinical excellence
