About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide consultant-level assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of patients with hematological conditions
- Diagnose and manage benign and malignant blood disorders
- Manage anemia, bleeding and clotting disorders, thrombosis, hemoglobinopathies, and other hematological conditions
- Diagnose and manage hematological malignancies in collaboration with relevant multidisciplinary teams
- Interpret laboratory, hematological, and diagnostic investigations
- Develop individualised treatment plans based on clinical findings and investigation results
- Provide counselling and education to patients and their families
- Collaborate with oncologists, pathologists, laboratory specialists, and other medical disciplines
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and complex case management
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation according to healthcare and regulatory standards
- Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, teaching, and professional development activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Recognised postgraduate qualification in Hematology / Haematology or an equivalent specialty qualification
- Consultant-level clinical experience in Hematology
- Experience managing a broad range of benign and malignant hematological conditions
- Candidates with Western qualifications or internationally recognised board certification are preferred
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Commitment to high standards of patient care and clinical excellence
