About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide consultant-level assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of pediatric respiratory and pulmonary conditions
- Manage pediatric respiratory disorders, including asthma, recurrent respiratory infections, chronic cough, wheezing, and complex pulmonary conditions
- Evaluate and manage children with acute and chronic respiratory presentations
- Perform and interpret relevant pulmonary investigations and diagnostic procedures within the scope of practice
- Develop individualized treatment and long-term management plans
- Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, medication use, and preventive care
- Collaborate with pediatricians, pediatric intensivists, ENT specialists, allergists, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with clinical and regulatory standards
- Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, teaching, and professional development activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Medical degree from a recognised institution
- Recognised postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics and/or Pediatric Pulmonology
- Western qualification/board certification preferred
- Consultant-level experience in Pediatric Pulmonology
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
- Commitment to high standards of patient care and clinical excellence
