About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create new registrations for scheduled and walk-in clinical visits
  • Check patients in throughout the outpatient setting of the hospital
  • Support check-ins for Urgent Care, Radiology, and Access Clinic
  • Schedule patient return visit appointments
  • Minimize clinic access delays
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families
  • Inform patients and collect signed consent for care
  • Maintain infection prevention standards
  • Establish systems and resources to improve patient experience processes and efficiency

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of one (1) year customer service and/or administrative support experience
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Preferred: Minimum of three (3) years experience working in a health care setting or related field
  • Preferred: Significant experience working with the general public in a health care/customer service environment
  • Preferred: Familiarity with other cultures/bilingual skills
