About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build event-driven C# and Python pipelines that process audit events within a defined time budget
  • Design processing for retries, out-of-order delivery, poison messages, backpressure, and at-least-once semantics
  • Decide how append-only audit pipeline outputs are stored and versioned
  • Productionize analytical work as unattended services with scheduling, retries, throughput, cost controls, and monitoring
  • Build detection and enrichment services using aggregation, behavioral baselines, risk scoring, deduplication, suppression, thresholding, and confidence scores
  • Design configurable customer rules without requiring a release for every detection
  • Enrich raw events with severity, reasoning, and links to product APIs
  • Design and build C# APIs for the product UI, customer SIEM platforms, and downstream services
  • Build integrations for notifications and structured evidence in customer tooling
  • Design clean data contracts and event formats for compliance, security, and analytics consumers
  • Operate services across Azure, Databricks, and the messaging layer through monitoring, alerting, tracing, and incident response
  • Build observability for output-quality degradation
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and safe deployment practices
  • Collaborate with the Data & AI team to move analytical work from proof of concept into production
  • Influence architecture across processing pipelines, detection logic, and integration interfaces

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Solid experience with C#/.NET backend development
  • Working proficiency in Python for data processing and pipeline work
  • Strong experience with event-driven and asynchronous systems, including queues, event buses, or message brokers
  • Understanding of failure modes in event-driven systems
  • Experience designing and implementing production ETL or data pipelines
  • Experience designing and building REST APIs; streaming or event-driven interfaces are advantageous
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms, preferably Azure Databricks
  • Experience working across a Python data stack and a C#/.NET production environment
  • Understanding of relational and/or distributed data stores, including schema design and evolution
  • Experience building multi-tenant systems with data isolation enforced in the data access path
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, especially GitHub Actions
  • Strong code quality, testing, and maintainability practices
  • Nice-to-have experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, Event Hubs, change data capture, Kubernetes, Docker, AKS, Bicep, Terraform, Databricks Workflows, Airflow, Azure Data Factory, Azure services, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, SIEM, OT/ICS, compliance frameworks, MLOps, Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake, anomaly detection, and LLMs in production
  • Mid-Level to Senior seniority
