About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design audit-proof and traceable posting logic and posting schemes for new business transactions and payment products in accordance with GoBD
Define requirements for software development and coordinate them with Product Management
Review and optimize posting schemes using reconciliation logic
Reconcile subledger accounts monthly and match them against customer funds accounts
Safeguard customer funds through robust posting logic and reconciliation
Analyze error patterns and resolve complex posting issues
Convert recurring exceptional cases into standardized processes
Support Operations with accounting-related questions
Train employees
Expand functionality for further automation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Practical experience in accounting in accordance with HGB
Ideally, knowledge of SKR 03
Experience with SQL queries and data analysis
Proficiency with accounting software
Advanced Excel skills
Understanding of complex accounting and reconciliation processes
Interest in automation and software development in an accounting context
Fluent German, both written and spoken
Good English skills are desirable
Precise, self-motivated, pragmatic, and solution-oriented
Willingness to collaborate with IT, databases, and other interfaces
