About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and implement an analytics and business intelligence roadmap aligned with the company’s priorities
- Translate strategic business questions into analytical opportunities, KPI frameworks, data requirements, and decision-support solutions
- Deliver analyses on business performance, customer behavior, claims experience, product outcomes, portfolio trends, operational effectiveness, and emerging risks
- Translate complex findings into recommendations and presentations for senior leadership
- Establish practices that support prioritization, execution, solution adoption, benefits realization, and continuous improvement
- Lead the evolution toward reliable, enterprise-scale analytical products
- Oversee the development of datasets, semantic models, certified metrics, dashboards, and reporting solutions
- Collaborate with data pipeline engineering, technology, governance, finance, and business leadership teams
- Expand self-service analytics capabilities and reduce manual effort, duplicated logic, and siloed solutions
- Identify and prioritize opportunities in advanced analytics, machine learning, predictive modeling, and artificial intelligence
- Establish governance, controls, quality standards, explainability, and responsible AI practices
- Lead, engage, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team in analytics, business intelligence, reporting, and analytics engineering
- Foster a culture of analytical excellence, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning
- Provide coaching in analytical problem-solving, data product design, data storytelling, and stakeholder management
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and promote a data-driven decision-making culture
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree in analytics, data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, economics, business administration, or a related quantitative discipline
- More than 10 years of progressive experience in analytics, business intelligence, analytics engineering, data science, decision support, or a related field, including management responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience building, transforming, or significantly advancing analytics capabilities across a complex organization
- Strong experience translating ambiguous business issues into practical analytical solutions, actionable recommendations, and measurable outcomes
- Deep expertise in SQL, Python, analytical data modeling, business intelligence platforms, and modern cloud data environments
- Experience developing scalable datasets, structured data products, key performance indicator (KPI) frameworks, semantic models, and enterprise-scale reporting solutions
- Excellent understanding of modern data ecosystems, from source systems and data engineering through to analytics delivery and business adoption
- Experience applying advanced analytics, machine learning, predictive modeling, or AI-enabled solutions to business challenges
- Demonstrated ability to influence executive-level stakeholders while effectively leading highly technical, specialized teams
- Excellent leadership skills and experience building, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams
- Experience with cloud data warehouses, lakehouse architectures, and modern self-service business intelligence platforms
- Knowledge of responsible AI practices, model governance, data quality, data lineage, explainability, and operational controls
- Excellent communication and data storytelling skills
- Strategic, product-oriented mindset focused on delivering sustainable and scalable solutions
- Experience in insurance, financial services, or another regulated industry is an asset
